TDoA Mode

Time Difference of Arrival - synchronized anchor timestamps

  • Tag broadcasts UWB pulse to multiple synchronized anchors
  • IEEE-1588 PTP provides nanosecond timing via PoE
  • Supports large numbers of simultaneous moving tags
  • Deterministic behavior under high movement

TWR Mode

Two-Way Ranging - round-trip signal timing

  • Anchor sends request, tag responds, distance calculated
  • No PTP required - anchors operate independently
  • Wi-Fi or non-PTP Ethernet backhaul supported
  • ~10 active tags per 10m × 10m cell
